The Guardian: Why we need more black and minority ethnic magistrates

Criminal justice is one of the least ethnically diverse sections of the civil service. The Green Park Leadership 5,000 research published last week found that only 3% of criminal justice leaders come from ethnic minority backgrounds, which is pale in comparison to the 12.8% of the working population who described themselves as from an ethnic minority in the 2011 census.
