After a career in sales and marketing with Cadbury Schweppes, Michael Squires became an executive search consultant in 1981. In 1989 he formed is own search firm which was very soon acquired by the Swiss-based international search group, TASA. Having built a very successful London office, Michael became European President in 1993 and the Chief Executive for the worldwide business in 1995. TASA Worldwide was acquired by TMP and Michael became CEO of TMP’s executive search operations globally. Since retiring from TMP in 2000, he has built a portfolio of private equity and non-executive directorships. He is the Chairman of the European Study Group - a major employers’ organisation influencing Brussels and Whitehall on employment legislation. In addition to his commercial activities, Michael is a Trustee of a number of educational charities.
