The Interim Assignment
The role will involve integrating and assisting in the move from COBOL to Java. The organisation has a massive business transformation agenda with digital transformation and technology leading the way as they aim to improve how government interacts with citizens.

The Interim Assignment

The role will be responsible for directly leading 100+ technology specialists, influencing technology vendors and leading an annual technology spend of circa £1 billion. The role will also be expected to lead the technical strategy and architecture for all the departments technology including platforms for secure deployment and day to day operations. The role reports to the departments Director General of Technology.

The Interim Manager

Applicants will need to be subject matter expert who have the drive to define the future technology systems. They will be able to demonstrate an exceptional track record of technology leadership and delivery in a high volume and fast paced environment, including a track record of integrating and simplifying complex legacy/ current architecture for a large, complex, multi-divisional enterprise and the proven ability to design user experiences and deliver web-based services.
