The Interim Assignment
Reporting to the Business Development Director, this is a 2-3 days per week role where the Interim Communications Manager will: • provide personal support and advice for up to eight individuals and their offices. • support the delivery of the business plan by providing communications support, including managing a contacts database, management of the website, and contributing to the publication of key communications material. • lead and manage specific communications related activity • act as the principal point of contact with governance bodies’ communicators’ network and the press departments of partners and stakeholders • influence, coordinate, and develop engagement with the client • ensure that members’ are able to engage effectively with national stakeholders and government departments and receive the advice, guidance and support necessary to operate efficiently and effectively

Our client is looking to appoint an interim Director of Policy and Research for a period of 9-12 months. This role will be directly responsible for positioning our client as the thought leader in their sector while directing the research and intelligence activity. This role will be responsible for working with the board to agree the strategy for research , public affairs and research while also working to shape and implement strategy. The role will also be to understand the organisations policy across the wider agenda and create insights into broader health policy. The successful candidate will also lead on the development of the external research function representing the organisation at government/ data organisations

A newly formed role, the Head of Customer Insight & Research will support the Multi-channel Director to lead the Insight & research function, building an ecosystem of business intelligence that informs strategy across the business. You will lead projects across a variety of disciplines including data analytics, customer research and campaign management. This high profile role will involve building key relationships with board members and senior executives, and will involve collaborating with all internal functions and divisions. The Interim Assignment
The Interim Head of E-Commerce / Online Trading (Multi Channel) role will maximise the commercial potential of our client’s e-commerce sales channel by achieving sales and profit budgets through commercial understanding of the product, customers and internal capabilities. You will need to translate the Multi-Channel vision into clear goals and objectives for the online trading team by leading all Online Trading & Planning activities and manage the online critical path calendar. You will need to maximise margin while growing sales and customer recruitment by effectively managing markdown and promotional events with the senior management team. This role will deputise the E-Commerce Director when required and lead and develop the online trading team with clear succession plans.

The Interim Head of E-Commerce / Online Trading (Multi Channel) will need to be a well-established commercial e-commerce / online trading specialist with a proven track record in household brands, whether that’s retail, fashion, wider consumer. You will need to approachable with strong management skills and though this is an interim assignment, you would be expected to resonate the company ethos from day one.

The role of the With Profits Committee is to assess, report on and provide clear advice and, where appropriate, recommendations to the Society Board on: • The way in which the Society’s With Profits Funds are managed and whether this is appropriately reflected in the PPFM documents; • Whether the Society is complying with the principles and practices set out in the PPFM; • Whether the Society has identified and addressed effectively the conflicting rights and interests of with profits policyholders and other policyholders or stakeholders in a way that is consistent with treating customers fairly; and • Any other issues with which the Board or Committee considers with profits policyholders might reasonably expect the Committee to be involved. The Committee is not empowered to take management decisions but acts as an advisory committee to inform the decision-making of the Society’s Board which has ultimate responsibility for managing the With Profits Fund. You will join a strong With Profits Committee and attend at least four Committee meetings per annum. In addition you will be expected to devote appropriate preparation time ahead of each meeting. You will also be available on an ad hoc basis to participate in briefings and consultation by phone or email. Your appointment will be subject to Board and regulatory approval.
The With Profits Committee Member will be an experienced individual having worked at a senior level within a financial services organisation and sat on Board or management committees. You will have a legal or customer services background, have a good understanding of with profits business, be numerate with good analytical skills and be familiar with the regulatory environment. The Interim Assignment
The Interim Internal Communications Specialist for Transformation will develop a communications and engagement plan alongside the Business Change team, with responsibility for ensuring its effective delivery, covering the following aspects:
- To design, write, deliver and ensure effective distribution of two-way communication between the Council and internal and external stakeholders using a full range of channels including media relations, campaigns, publications, web pages and digital and social media.
- To provide professional advice and support to Council departments and elected members on all communications matters. This position will link closely with the Corporate Communications team Objectives
- To develop, implement and evaluate internal and external Transformation communications initiatives across the authority, linking with the Engagement Leads for the Council
- To work as part of a team to promote the Transformation work of the Council and how this links to delivering the Councils Corporate Plan.
