The Client
Our client a leading national charity are looking to hire an Interim Director of Policy and Research for a period of 6 months to cover 2 of their largest directorates.

The Interim Assignment
The Interim Director will be tasked with leading a team of close to 40 individuals and will be personally responsible for providing feedback on policy reports as they get ready for publication. The role will also include leading the recruitment of a number of key positions alongside producing and writing the job specifications while the successful incumbent will also be charged with providing sound judgement skills and risk management to the quality assurance process. They will also have financial responsibility for their areas and so will be expected to work closely to produce next years budget and attend the budgetary meetings.

The Interim Manager
Applicants will have worked in the 3rd sector/ civil service in an advocacy/ policy environment as a Director of Policy or a Director of Research. They will have experience of having chaired a number of internal groups and will have sat on a  number of advisory/ lobbying boards while preference will be given to those with a strong process heavy approach.

Our client is a London Borough with an ambitious economic development and skills agenda for the Borough. We are looking for an interim manager to report to the Head of Economic Development who will head up a programme of work designed to increase employment and skills opportunities for local residents both within the Council itself and also across the wider business community. A focus of this role will be the Welfare to Work agenda. The interim manager will lead a small team with three direct reports and will lead on both Zero Based Budgeting for the programme as well as bidding for significant European Social Fund monies.

We are therefore looking for candidates with the following specific skills and experience:

  • Current and direct experience of the skills agenda and ideally of the Welfare to Work agenda.
  • In depth experience of economic development and regeneration and the direct links to the skills and employment agenda.
  • Experience of operating at 3rd or 4th tier management levels in Local Government.
  • Strong project and programme management skills.
  • Excellent communications skills and a proven ability to interface both with private sector partners, colleagues (eg in planning) and senior Local Government Officers.
  • Strong financial management experience, with a track record of successfully bidding for funding (eg ESF) and prior experience of Zero Based Budgeting.

The Interim Assignment

The Client
Green Park are partnering a renowned global Private Equity house through an exciting global transformation of a recently acquired portfolio business, revenues in the billions.

We require an Interim Programme PMO - ERP Transformation to sit within a newly created programme team reporting to board who are being appointed with the challenge of implementing a cradle to grave ERP across the global business.

The Interim Assignment
The assignment will surround driving the PMO within the programme stream, you will be appointed with the challenge of reporting all governance and driving the ERP project managers reporting directly to the Transformation director.

The basic scope will be to:

  • Refining overall transformation plan and critical path
  • Revisiting interdependencies between work streams
  • Update critical success factors and overall risks at overall programme/ work stream level
  • Review governance structure of program
  • Reporting in line with governance
  • Driving ERP project managers making sure timescales across the roadmap are kept

Though the above is the basic scope, you will need to be considered proven at a granular level across each area.

This phase of the global business transformation will last circa 9 months and will involve regular European travel across business units/countries therefore the ability to be away from home Monday to Friday is essential.

The Interim Manager
You will need to be an expert in Global PMO, it is very important that you’ve created ran PMO’s within dynamic ERP implementations previously and ideally can be looked at externally as running a best practise Global PMO.

Green Park are involved with a global consumer business who are currently undertaking a cradle to grave ERP replacement, the programme is well established however it has hit delays in the rollout due to project management transformation.

Due to this delay the programme team has just been through internal restructuring which will create an opportunity to appoint two Interim ERP Transformation Project Managers. These roles will hold responsibility for delivery of ERP change implementation across the business, covering the Americas and European market.

The Interim Assignment
As described above due to the delay of the programme this role will need to operate within a complex environment, we require dynamic ERP software experience eg smaller packages: Microsoft AX, Oracle Retail, Agresso etc

The appointed ERP project managers will be solely responsible for ERP business implementation and transformation whilst supporting development and delivery for the integrated programme plans enabling effective management and tracking of resources, deliverables and dependencies across all work-streams. 

The Interim Manager
We need an expert in delivering complex ERP programme management at an established project manager level in turnaround / broken programme environments, it is very important that you have significant ERP programme management experience with a market leading employer and can demonstrate hands on robust project management, project governance and process skills within similar environments.

Our client a leading healthcare provider are looking to hire an interim mobilisation manager for a period of 6 months.

The Interim Assignment
Following the likelihood of being awarded a new healthcare contract for primary care and mental health services across a number of prisons the mobilisation manager will need to work closely with the workforce lead and the programme director to project manager the implementation of the several anticipated services.

The Interim Manager
The preferred individual will have previous experience of mobilising health care services, and be able to work well with a team of subject matter experts that will be the work-stream leads for the project. Experience of working in a secure health/prison setting would be desirable though not essential. A good attention to detail is required plus the ability and communication skills to manage and facilitate others to ensure project milestones & deliverables are achieved. The individual will need to be skilled at running/chairing meetings. The project will run from mid-November to the end of April, and will require travel and likely overnight stays (as some locations are not readily accessible). Project Assurance Analyst
To provide oversight and governance for infrastructure related projects in order to ensure successful project delivery from our service provider.

Key Responsibilities - include:

  • Work with service provider and project requestor to properly understand the project requirements as well as the scope the work
  • Confirm that the technical solution presented from the service provider is appropriate to meet the business requirements
  • Provide overall assurance of the project plan
  • Review project status with service provider on a weekly basis and ensure internal stage gating process is adhered to
