This is in line with the pre-defined corporate strategy to achieve savings of up to £20m by the end of 2014/15.

The Head of Multichannel is a newly created role to support the Multichannel Director in leading the digital strategy and supporting the ambitious growth agenda both in the UK and internationally. You will be tasked with further developing the Ecommerce trading strategy and ensure that it is appropriately aligned with key commercial drivers to deliver strategic growth objectives and strengthens overall competitive advantage. You will be responsible for leading and developing the web trading, content and merchandising teams, ensuring that Ecommerce delivers against the sales forecasts, growing the visibility of the website and identifying opportunities where technology can drive more compelling and innovative customer experiences that can be realised both online, in-book and in-store.
The Ideal Candidate
This role is vital in to implement a framework of commercial levers and measurements, including increasing traffic, conversion rate, average order value and units per transaction and you will have demonstrable experience of innovating and setting new agendas; taking a broad view of possibilities and considering potential impact of activities on other business areas. In addition, you will have an understanding of the implementation of next generation technologies and tools to engage global customers in brand discussions. Above all, we’re looking for a leader with a positive attitude, high level of energy, clear sense of urgency and direction, and ability to inspire and invigorate associates at all levels. Retail sector experience is necessary for this role.

The Interim Assignment
The Interim Head of E-Commerce / Online Trading (Multi Channel) role will maximise the commercial potential of our client’s e-commerce sales channel by achieving sales and profit budgets through commercial understanding of the product, customers and internal capabilities. You will need to translate the Multi-Channel vision into clear goals and objectives for the online trading team by leading all Online Trading & Planning activities and manage the online critical path calendar. You will need to maximise margin while growing sales and customer recruitment by effectively managing markdown and promotional events with the senior management team. This role will deputise the E-Commerce Director when required and lead and develop the online trading team with clear succession plans.

The Interim Head of E-Commerce / Online Trading (Multi Channel) will need to be a well-established commercial e-commerce / online trading specialist with a proven track record in household brands, whether that’s retail, fashion, wider consumer. You will need to approachable with strong management skills and though this is an interim assignment, you would be expected to resonate the company ethos from day one.

This global professional body has an ambitious but challenging growth agenda to achieve the execution of its 2020 strategy. A fundamental aspect of this will be driving efficient and effective sales performance. The Head of Sales Delivery will have responsibility for leading the Sales Delivery team which will focus on growing members (e.g. promoting the qualification and profession). The team drives the creation and supports the execution of targeted sales plans across the markets to ensure targets are met (the plans include b2b and b2c sales activity).
The Head of Sales Delivery will possess the following essential experience: • Experience of leading sales/business development and client management teams within a multinational organisation (i.e., B2B business development leadership). • Experience of re-engineering sales teams to drive performance. • Evidence of improving performance across all aspects of sales and client management processes. • Experience of collaborating with business functions to shape propositions and go-to-market strategies. • Working knowledge of SFA and CRM solutions used for B2B sales and ability to work with large and complex dynamic databases. • Beneficial to have experience of analytical research and competitor intelligence. • Excellent analytical/numeracy skills with the ability to interpret data and to summarise information to enable effective decision making. • The ability to be an effective communicator at all levels both internally and externally is essential as is a track record in building and developing trust and confidence across the organisation, through stakeholder engagement and influencing senior level management teams. Green Park has been exclusively instructed to assist one of the UK’s leading retail groups through an exciting journey of change within their portfolio of brands. The client is already a market leader throughout multiple brands within their portfolio however they have noticed that they are still missing a core potential customer that their current portfolio doesn’t perfectly cater for, with this in mind instead of diluting one of their established brands they are embarking on the creation of a new brand to take on this challenge. Green Park has been asked to source an Interim Commercial Trading Director to join this team and help launch the brand over the coming 6 months to a year. The role will handle the initial brand launch in the coming months before then growing the brand throughout the European markets. We require an established Interim Commercial Trading Director with a thorough background throughout buying, merchandising and e-commerce within a general merchandise environment to take on this challenge. You will need to be proven within digital / e-commerce marketing channels with a good understanding of PPC, SEO, Display, CRM etc in addition experience within European markets would be beneficial. May I stress this is a general merchandise role covering apparel, home ware, electronics, DIY etc a luxury brands / fashion or beauty background would not be suffice. Only applicants that meet the above criteria and in particular have proven merchandising experience will be considered for this role.
