We require a highly technical, dedicated UK-based healthcare specialist with Middle East experience to support the pipeline development and progression for our client. The specialist will be required to hit the ground running, delivering immediately on the objectives and deliverables. Gaining the trust and support of the Healthcare UK and Virtual Teams will be key, as will being able to immediately demonstrate value to buyers, suppliers and influencers for current opportunities.

Over and above this, the specialist will also be expected to apply their deep technical know-how and experience to support other objectives, including researching requirements, assessing options and developing strategic and action plans to support British companies winning in the Middle East healthcare market. This complex role supports Healthcare UK's Middle East team, including acting as a subject matter expert for healthcare.

The role will entail:

1. Identifying/ supporting UK companies to enter, create or join supply chains in the Middle East healthcare space - across the full spectrum of UK offerings and capabilities (including clinical services, healthcare systems, digital healthcare, infrastructure and education and training).

2. Support local teams in the Middle East to influence and shape overseas buyers develop procurement strategies by demonstrating the value of UK experience and expertise.

3. Create and deliver viable solutions to overseas buyers that drive exports, including coordinating/ sharing specific company/capability knowledge with in-country colleagues.

4. Talk to a wide range of healthcare contacts, including Ministers, policy makers, academics, senior level doctors and nurses, imaging suppliers, other technology suppliers, NICE, CQC, HEE, finance directors, CEOs, Chairmen, architects, designers, engineering companies, facilities management organisations, other equipment and technology/ communications providers.

5. Understand the unique requirement of the healthcare sector both in the Middle East and matching to UK capabilities, specifically, and again not exhaustively, clinical pathways, quality standards and frameworks, healthcare systems, medical equipment provision and installation, education and training, genomics.
