The Role
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the HR Director / HRD will support the Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer in building and developing an organisation which supports the new strategy. Green Park is currently partnering a renowned name on the high street within retail / fashion. We will be assisting with the continued development of their management function by appointing an Interim Retail Operations Director – EMEA for a period of six months.

The Interim Assignment
The Interim Operations Director role will be pivotal in driving the retail store networks throughout the EMEA regions with responsibility of the retail operations managers and/or area managers to seek opportunities and initiatives that result in the achievement of the business plan. The role is responsible for all operational aspects of brand, marketing and visual impact across the EMEA markets. You will be handling execution of driving and delivering sales performance and profit return, You will have control over manpower performance and development whilst monitoring conditions and trends within the local market. This role will be based predominantly in Amsterdam with travel required.

Candidate description

The Client
Green Park is partnering a pan-European technology business through a major business transformation by appointing an Interim Finance SSC Creation / Implementation Director to establish a shared service centre for accountancy and finance.

The Interim Management Assignment
This role will be pivotal in driving organisational change by consolidating 150 heads across accountancy and finance within multiple European countries to one new shared service centre based in Holland. You will have full view of the organisation and engagement with the senior leadership team, be responsible for agenda and delivery of the shared service centre. It will be an incredibly hands on assignment and will involve European travel. After the shared service centre is established, you will be part of an ERP implementation which we’re still awaiting decision on which ERP will be implemented.

Our client is a Local Authority based in the Home Counties. As with many Authorities, they are going through a major transformation and improvement journey in all aspects of children’s social care. Having recently merged adult and children’s care in to a People Directorate, they are now seeking to hire an interim Assistant Director who will cover all areas of children’s social work operations.

The Interim Assignment
In additional to running all safeguarding and child protection operations including Looked After Children, Children in Care and Children in Need, the remit extends to continuing to lead the Council’s improvement and transformation agenda across the service following on from a previous Ofsted inspection, so experience in Quality Assurance is also important.

The Interim Manager
It goes without saying that candidates must without exception have an extensive background in running children’s safeguarding and social care operations in a Local Authority setting, whether at Director, Assistant Director or Head of Service level. We would expect candidates to be HCPC registered and to be able to evidence delivering significant service improvements in other Children’s Services Directorates, whether that be as a response to or in anticipation of, Ofsted inspection cycles. Our client is currently seeking an EMEA Human Resources Director. With major contracts with a number of the top sports teams globally, this brand has become an official supplier for a number of major sports leagues. As EMEA Human Resources Director and under the strategic direction of the VP EMEA and the VP Human Resources, the HRD role will provide tactical and strategic Human Resources support for the EMEA region. This role will design, develop and lead the regional talent strategies that support the business direction. Managing the compensation programmes for all employees and implementing the performance management process to ensure effective goal setting and reviews of region’s employees, you will implement and develop staff training programmes. The Person
The Human Resources Director / HRD will have demonstrable generalist HR experience in the retail sector, with a good understanding of employment law across Europe. The Client
Our client is a large Local Authority in the south west of the country. The role covers the full range of Legal and Democratic Services and is also the Monitoring Officer.

The Interim Assignment
As well as managing the services on a day to day basis, a significant element of the interim Assistant Director, Legal and Democratic Services role will be involved in working closely with the most senior politicians and officers in the Council on embedding new constitutional arrangements that has recently been passed, streamlining scrutiny, changing the way Full Council operates and leading on a boundary review.

The Interim Manager
It is critical that candidates have extensive experience as a Head of Legal and Democratic Services and as a Monitoring Officer, most likely gained in a single tier or upper tier Local Authority environment. This is a politically complex environment and will require outstanding, sensitive and emotionally intelligent stakeholder management expertise. This is not an opportunity to step up to a bigger role and candidates will need to bring significant proven skills to the role, whether as a career interim manager or a permanent senior officer. The Role
United St Saviour’s is one of the oldest charities in Southwark, with legacies and charitable activity going back 400 years. While proud of its history, it tackles modern problems innovatively. The Interim Assignment
The Interim IT Director will be responsible for bringing together the work of a range of local and national stakeholders to put in place a coordinated strategy and programme plan and drive its delivery. The aspiration is to design and build a ‘centre of excellence’ in ICT that can provide an ‘intelligent customer’ function on behalf of key stakeholders. Putting in place a delivery model for a long-term central capability will need to achieved in parallel to driving the delivery of a number of small projects to demonstrate benefits and test business models.

The Interim Manager
The Interim IT Director will be a high-performing Director with a proven track record in the delivery of complex change management programmes, ideally in the context of the use of technology to meet customer needs in complex markets. An individual with the imagination, standing and drive to establish a new company, develop reliable revenues, reduce the cost of IT and help deliver the technology services that a modern workforce needs. The Interim IT Director will have experience of an arms-length public body which they can combine with commercial expertise to bring entrepreneurship and innovation to the IT market. The Director will need experience in start-up companies, have demonstrable skills at overcoming the risks of failure and have the acumen to head off problems early and ensure a viable marketing strategy and business plan. You will be in a senior position with responsibility for meeting financial and other performance targets and have the ability to engage successfully with senior officials and other senior partners at the highest level both nationally and locally.
