Church of England
Having successfully worked on the appointment of the Chief of Staff for the Archbishop of Canterbury in 2016 we have been working to support the Church of England at a more local level, helping dioceses appoint Diocesan Secretaries to run their operations.
In Sheffield the Bishop and his team had identified the need for someone to create cohesion within the team, building strong relationships and driving a dynamic agenda for change. The role carried a Genuine Occupational Requirement for a practising Christian.

Heidi Adcock, the successful candidate, has qualifications in HR and accountancy, and an MBA.
Our searches involved building networks and relationships within the local areas, through existing personal and Green Park contacts and through identifying key individuals who could identify potential candidates who met the varied and complex brief. In order to understand the brief fully we spent time in Sheffield meeting stakeholders and visiting the office, so we could speak with insight to potential candidates, and we based ourselves in Sheffield to carry out our Green Park interviews.
Heidi Adcock, the successful candidate, has qualifications in HR and accountancy, and an MBA. She comes from the Department for Education, and brings the range of skills and expertise the Diocese needs, with a passion to work within her local community. The Bishop wrote “You assembled an excellent long list and shortlist and I believe we have been able to secure an excellent appointment and that Heidi will bring exactly the right gifts and qualities the Diocese will need in the coming years.”
Green Park has since been engaged with The Church of England on a Non-Executive search to appoint the first ever female First Church Estates Commissioner, Loretta Minghella. Loretta is a lawyer by training who, after practising as a criminal litigator, began a career in financial regulation in 1990. The first Head of Enforcement Law, Policy and International Cooperation for the Financial Services Authority, she also chaired the International Organisation of Securities Commissions’ Standing Committee on Enforcement and Information-Sharing.
