Currently Europe’s largest infrastructure project, HS2 will run high-speed trains on dedicated lines that connect London to Birmingham from 2026 and then to the West and the East Midlands, South Yorkshire and Leeds in the East from 2033.

Green Park has supported HS2 extensively as the organisation went through large-scale transformation, moving from a planning business of less than 600 to one of over 3000 people focused on delivery of the new rail service.

Green Park has placed over 20 interims within HR alone plus additional hires within EDI, programme management, finance, communications and executive hires on a retained basis. The HR director was placed as an interim as the organisation was first established; he already had a long-standing relationship with Green Park, and soon switched to a permanent member of staff within the organisation. Since then, Green Park has helped build the resourcing,

learning, talent, OD and reward function, developing a great understanding of the challenges faced by the organisation and the candidate profiles that will help them overcome these challenges.

Green Park’s success has been delivered through a great understanding of the business, from CEO downwards, as well as a tailored account management approach that has actively sought feedback on performance at every opportunity.

The candidates placed come from a diverse background and Green Park is continuing to support the business across all corporate functions on a search basis based on track record and a partnership approach.
